Winter Driving With A Wrap
Updated: May 15, 2022
DO IT!

Don't let a little Alberta winter prevent you from showing off that wrap. It's vinyl wrap, don't worry it won't melt.
Just Wash It!
Every couple weeks just go to the car wash a spray off the vehicle.
Gloss
For gloss wrap it is a little more forgiving in the winter. If you can't get to the car wash every couple weeks that's fine. Don't worry. Get there when you can and give the vehicle a good wash. If you see road grim or contaminants still on the wrap feel free to clay bar it off. Just remember to use plenty of slip solution to prevent scratches and damage to the wrap.
Matte/Satin
For satin and matte wraps car washing is going to be a little more frequent. The salt and grime from the roads in Alberta if not washed will bake into the wrap permanently damaging the wrap. Every couple weeks a car wash should be completed with a full scrub of the vehicle. If you plan on winter driving a matte or satin wrapped vehicle, ceramic coating is highly recommended. This will make cleaning much easier and will help prevent all the grime from baking into the wrap.
